Along with his research experience, Dev has over five years of teaching experience in strategic management and entrepreneurship and about fifteen years of industry experience in strategic management. His teaching experience has been at undergraduate, masters (MBA/EMBA) and doctoral (DBA) levels in different locations in the United States, Canada, China, and India. He has also supervised students’ honors theses, independent studies, internships, and applied research projects, at both undergraduate and masters levels.

Dev's industry experience covers his role as a strategic management specialist in the Indian IT industry for over fifteen years. As part of this, Dev was extensively involved in formulating and implementing several large-scale strategy initiatives (such as the Balanced Scorecard, CMM and People CMM) in two of India’s largest software services companies between 1986-2001.

Recent Research:

Dev's current research projects examine the role of entrepreneurial alliance partnerships in technology networks. He is interested to explore the ways in which such partnerships facilitate innovation, given the knowledge inflows, network structural arrangements, alignment of capabilities, and technological distance between alliance partners. For these projects, Dev collaborates with researchers from around the world, including the United States, Canada, China and India.
