To graduate, students must obtain a 2.30 grade-point average in all major required courses and a minimum grade of C- in each major course.

| Three, 4 credit hour elective courses in Hospitality Management (or two 4 credit hour electives and a 4 credit hour internship, supervised student teaching, or independent study course) are required for graduation. To graduate a student must have an overall average of at least 2.3 in the required major courses and fulfill a minimum of 800-hours of on-the-job, paid work experience in the hospitality industry; 200 hours must be earned through University Hospitality Services after matriculating in the major (UHS is the campus organization that oversees campus dining, campus catering, and the New England Center). This work experience may be completed over several summers or during the academic year. For transfer students, a minimum of 400 practicum hours must be completed after matriculating in the Hospitality Management Department. Please see Practicum requirements for further information. The department faculty recommend a semester abroad during Junior year. |
