Pros and Cons of Expanding Gambling for New Hampshire and New England

WSBE will be hosting a discussion about the impact and promises of expanded gambling in New Hampshire and New England. The event is free and open to the public.

The speakers for this event include:

James Rafferty, president of the New Hampshire Charitable Gaming and an adjunct professor in the Department of Hospitality Management at the Whittemore School.

Richard McGowan, associate professor at Boston College's Carroll School of Management and research fellow at Harvard Medical School, and author of "The Gambling Debate," "State Lotteries and Legalized Gambling: Painless Revenue or Painful Mirage," and "Government and the Transformation of the Gaming Industry."

Graduating senior Jacqueline Tambone, political science major and member of the Hospitality Department's Casino Management Class at the Whittemore School, will moderate the discussion.
