Academic Advisors
The Atkins Investment Group is also aided by two Academic Advisors, Professor Ahmad Etebari and Professor Stephen Ciccone. The Academic Advisors act as an informational resource to students and oversee all activities and decisions made by the group.
Professor Ahmad Etebari
Professor of Finance and Department Chair, University of New Hampshire
Ahmad Etebari joined the Whittemore School faculty in 1980, and has been chair of the School's Accounting and Finance Department since January 1994. He has held visiting positions at Bond University in Australia, University of Waikato and University of Otago in New Zealand, University of Tehran in Iran, and University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Ahmad's teaching and research interests are in corporate finance and investments. He is the 1992 recipient of the Whittemore School's Teaching Excellence Award and has published in national and international professional journals. He is Past President of the Northeast Business & Economics Association and serves on editorial boards of the Journal of Northeast Business & Economic Studies and Petroleum Accounting and Financial Management Journal, as well as ad-hoc reviewer for several finance journals.

Professor Stephen Ciccone
Associate Professor of Finance, University of New Hampshire
Stephen J. Ciccone is currently an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of New Hampshire. He received a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Finance) from Florida State University in 2000. He also holds an undergraduate and a masters degree in accounting from the University of Florida, where he graduated in 1994. He worked as an auditor for Arthur Andersen from 1994 to 1996 and has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1995.
Stephen's research primarily involves examining analyst forecasts. He has presented papers at numerous finance conferences around the world including at Toronto and the London Business School. His work has appeared in several finance and accounting journals.
