Economic Forecast 2008
Speakers include Ross Gittell, James R. Carter professor
of management at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics,
University of New Hampshire, and Peter Francese, director of demographic
forecasts for the New England Economic Partnership.
Gittell will focus on the New Hampshire economic outlook.
The current conditions and risks including the declining home prices, rising
energy costs and weakening consumer confidence on the state and local
economies.
Francese will focus on two questions: First, when will area
home prices stabilize and when will home sales start to up? Second, what do the
latest demographic trends tell us about our long term economic future?
