Peer Advising
The Peer Advising System, established in 1984, was created for the purpose of introducing freshmen to the college experience. Selected upper-class students provide a positive resource to guide freshmen. The program's goals are, through a mandatory year-long program, to familiarize students with their major, college, and University; to support students in their personal growth; to develop personal responsibility; and to encourage freshmen to use the advising services on campus.
