MS in Accounting

Check out Wild Accountants [1], the MSA newsletter!

The Master of Science in Accounting program emphasizes analytical communication skills while preserving the basic core of technical accounting knowledge. Students that possess undergraduate degrees in accounting can complete the required thirty semester hours and obtain a Master of Science degree in Accounting in one academic year. The program begins the Friday before the fall semester with a one-day orientation and team building session. Class size is kept below twenty-five to promote the relationships between students and faculty. Electives are often taken with the MBA program to further promote your professional network.

Students awarded the Master of Science in Accounting degree will be competitively equipped to enter the job market in the accounting profession. In addition, possession of the degree may also reduce the work experience required for the issuance of the CPA license.  The fall recruiting season brings both national and regional accounting firms to campus.  Most students int he program obtain employment prior to completing the degree.  Some of our recent graduates are currently working for:

  • Ernst & Young [2]
  • Tonneson and Company CPAs [3]
  • Johnson and Johnson, Inc. [4]
  • Baker, Newman and Noyes [5]
  • Deloitte [6]

To schedule a campus visit or meet with an admissions counselor please contact the Graduate and Executive Programs Office at wsbe.grad@unh.edu [7] or 603-862-1367.
