Executive MBA Student Life

Each class is capped at twenty-five students and many students form life-long personal and professional relationships. By limiting enrollment the Whittemore School promotes a classroom where learning takes place through lectures, class discussions and case studies. Since students remain in the workplace while enrolled they can find immediate benefit and application of their courses.

Much of the emphasis of the program is placed on developing study groups that contribute to the learning experience. Students are assigned to groups of three to four during the first week of classes. Most classes include group projects and students find their groups are often valuable resources as they progress through the program.

In addition to the academic aspects, the program strives to create a strong social network. Faculty and staff often join students for meals and social events. Each year several socials are held for students, faculty and staff to come together on a more informal basis. Additionally, each winter students invite their spouses and significant others to campus for a special dinner and social event.
