Ph.D. Strathclyde University
BS, Cornell University, Hotel Administration

Dr. Schlentrich is a graduate of the Lausanne Hotel Management School in Switzerland and Cornell University. He holds his Ph.D. from Strathclyde University, one of Europe's leading business schools. Dr. Schlentrich is the Director of the Rosenberg International Center of Franchising and a member of the board of the Educational Foundation of the International Franchise Association. With his colleague, Dr. Hachemi Aliouche, Dr. Schlentrich is engaged in advancing the field of franchising through applied research, teaching and outreach. Dr. Schlentrich has taught courses at the Whittemore School in the following subjects: strategic management, international franchising, hospitality finance and development, convention management, and marketing. He has received various awards for his innovative and engaged teaching style.

Dr. Schlentrich has held CEO and senior board level positions with leading American and international hospitality organizations such as Hilton International, Loew's, Stakis, Omni International, Preferred Hotels and Steigenberger.
